Ideally 8-12 months before your wedding date.
It can take up to 7 months for your gown to arrive. We suggest a timeline of 3 months for alterations leading up to your wedding date. Some designers will accommodate tight deadlines, but it’s always best to play it safe; aka – let's not add tight deadlines to an already anxiety inducing day. Know what we mean? Make sure to book your venue/wedding date before your gown appointment. This is necessary to know your timeline, weather, and vibe!

We happily stock sample dresses between size 10-16. Our strength is in abundance of styles rather than duplicates.
Please note that your custom gown can be ordered up to size 32, depending on the designer. We will also be expanding our collection to include curve sizes soon.
We'll take your measurements and order your dress as close to your current size as possible. Our designers make their dresses in their own standard sizing. We will order the size that is as closest to your measurements as possible. Since we are all shaped differently, alterations are always needed! Some designers have made-to-measure options. These do incur additional fees and would be discussed and explained prior to purchasing the gown if you choose that as an option.

Once you find the dress you love, you’ll have your big “yes” moment. Then, you’ll be carefully measured to determine your size. Once your gown arrives in the store, usually within 18 weeks with rush options available, we’ll call you to schedule your pick up appointment and do final inspection of your gown. You will then consult with your seamstress for any final gown tweaks and make sure it fits to perfection.

It’s helpful but not necessary to have a strapless bra (only if you feel you need it based on bust size) and Spanx or shapewear if that feels right for you.

Made to order means there is no stock of your dress and the designer starts making your dress according to measurements you've approved.
Made to order dresses are ordered to the closest numerical dress size depending on the designer. The dress is not made to EXACT measurements (made to measure). In order to achieve the perfect fit, you must see a seamstress or tailor after your dress comes in.
